Library and learning centre Mělník

A design of a new library and learning centre building is situated in Tyršova street in Mělník. The building ground plan reacts to the curve of a adjacent public road. It forms an internal protected courtyard where the main entrances are situated. The mass of the library is emphasised by the elevated tower, which is a rejoinder to the tower of the Mělník castle. The set of objects includes a café and a modern art gallery along with the library and classroom spaces of the learning centre.
